Do you enjoy helping others? If so, nursing might be the career for you! Healthcare is a job sector that grows every year, around the world. Nurses can travel the entire globe and always have a place in the economy. There are some countries that will pay nurses to move to them. Even if you never plan to leave the U.S., you can still spend the rest of your working life never needing to be without work.
There are no online learning programs that will allow you to take the nursing examination after completion, though there are many programs that will fulfill the prerequisites needed for nursing classes. These classes must be given by a state recognized online university or from a local college's website.

In Massachusetts, you will need to finish and graduate a nursing program before you can take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX). You must also fill out an application for testing and pay a processing fee. The state's board of nursing will send a letter detailing your approval. Once you are approved you may schedule a test. Most tests are held on specific days of the month, with a limit to how many test takers can sit for the NCLEX. You will need to bring photo ID and the testing fee payment when you go for your test. If your license is issued it will take four weeks or up to six weeks for your license to arrive. Once it arrives you may begin to work as a nurse.
